Puerto Vallarta

It was March last year (it’s taken me this long to edit the photos), and I don’t think I appreciated the vividness of PV until I returned to SLC in its final pale month of winter.

Traveling with Andrew’s family for a reunion, we stayed at the Amber Resort – my first all-inclusive. Much like my eyes, my stomach quickly adjusted and by the third day I was eating cheeseburgers as a pre-dinner snack whilst drinking daiquiris to stay hydrated. This was all okay because I participated in water aerobics.

Save for the daily trek to the boardwalk, we didn’t venture too far from the resort. But we did spend a day zip-lining in the jungle – the type of thing I usually sit out on. The final bit of the course was the very hyped “Superman” which was actually pretty spectacular. This video doesn’t do it justice (I feel like this song would have helped), but you lie horizontally in the harness and they send you face-first into the forest with a completely unobstructed view.
